Okay this ham

Easy! Serious. So easy.

Simply throw in a slow cooker with a little water to avoid charred, then cover and cook with low temperature for about 6 hours.

Approximately one hour to serve the soup, pour over the ham, and let it cook for another 30 minutes.

Then you just pour it, slice it, and scoop up the remaining sauce from the top so you get lots of delicious flavors in each juicy ham cut. Yummmm.

7. Brussels Sprouts With Maple Syrup, Cranberries, and Feta

The baked Brussels sprouts are good, but the sour and sharp cranberry-feta sprouts are much better.

Although Massachusetts is generally associated with cranberry production, Wisconsin is a true leader.

The country grew 55% of the world's cranberry supply, and most of the family owned cranberries. Cutler Cranberry, the farm I visited, is in the sixth generation of family ownership.

Lisa, one of the current owners of Cutler Cranberry, gracefully took me around the farm for a day, lent me her wader (the sexy rubber boots I wore in the photo above), and shared all about the cranberry growing process with me. I must have some misunderstandings.

First and foremost, I think that cranberries are grown in water.

Not! Cranberries actually grow on dry ground in large sandy plots called beds.

The water is used at harvest only.

The bed is inundated and the vines are shaken (or "tortured" - that's the tractor in the photo above).

The cranberries slipped from the vines and floated on the water.

8. Slow-Cooker Creamed Corn

As if this cream corn recipe is not easy enough, it only takes five ingredients: canned corn, milk, sugar, cream cheese, and butter.

With just 5 ingredients - corn, cream cheese, milk, butter and sugar (pepper to spice of course) - you will not believe how easy it is at the same time in a slow stove.

Simply drop it all in crockpot, cover it, stir and that's it!

Well, how easy is that? And it's amazingly rich, creamy and very sweet to complement the main course.

But again, if you're like me, you'll just skip the main course and hold on to the cream corn.

Not everyone presents the mac and cheese on Thanksgiving day, but everyone should do it.

This recipe is a great way to try it without using the oven space you save for the other side.

You already know this, but I processed it with a very easy recipe, and especially an easy slow cooker recipe.

Oh, and also with the cheese.

I remember growing there, there was this PeeWee Herman episode (do not judge) where she liked some food so she really married him.

If I am not married, I will marry the cheese. It's so entertaining and always there for you, am I right?

Because Thanksgiving can not start until you make a green bean casserole.

Crock Pot Green Bean Casserole is a delicious combination of early cooking and the convenience of a slow cooker.

You definitely want this on the menu all year!

As much as I can identify as "foodie" or "food lover," there's one thing I'm not sure about. I'm not a food snob.

So, when someone makes the original Campbell bean casserole recipe with canned green beans, canned cream of mushroom soup, and canned fried onions, I've overcome it.

However, the foodie inside me has long wondered ... is there a better way?

Of course, there is a better way! In this Food Revolution era, there must be a better way for Green Bean Casserole.

Now I know it sounds brave. This is simply a statement to say that MY recipe is better than the loved version of 60+ years.

Campbell's recipe is practically an institution, decorating the Thanksgiving table every year, all over the country.

But the mine is made with crockpot. On the day you use your oven at most, make this casserole in crockpot.

But it will get better! It will be even better.

17. Candied Sweet Potato Casserole

Okay, so this takes a little oven time, but this will be the last thing you heat up before you can dig (and this is worth it).

Peel and cut 5 lbs of sweet potatoes and let your slow cooker do all the work for the next four hours.

Transfer to serving casserole spread the pecan layer over the sweet potato mixture and bake for 20 minutes to reach the maximum level before adding a mini marshmallow.

Bake for another five minutes (or until gold marshmallows) and dig.
